Hello all,
I just wanted to wish everyone a safe happy and blessed holiday season. I have had the unfortunate fate of dealing with “Master” Tom O’Grady these past few months, so this holiday will be especially relaxing and peaceful for me. I hope everyone is doing well. Wenzel, I NEED a picture of you in a Hula Skirt at a Luau!!
Peace,

Jim Wenzel just told me about your new Blog so i wanted to jump into the conversation for a moment and wish all of you my prayers especially during this Advent and Christmas season. For all the good you are doing for others in need and for all that you bring to our Augustinian family, I am grateful. I promise you my prayers and best wishes as you get some free time, visit family and friends, and then join together in January. All the best.

Hello everyone in the Augustinian Volunteer Family:
I can’t believe that I learned how to send this BLOG nor can I believe this new technology. I still think of having a four-party telephone line with one phone in our house when I was a kid!
I wish each one of you a very blessed Christmas season. Remember, Christmas is not a day but a whole season. If you aren’t in touch with the meaning of the 12 days of Christmas, try to do so. I remember Jess Burgess Smith sending me a beautiful reflection on this when she was here at Merrimack.
Classes are over; exams are in full swing; I am reading final papers; and soon will be reading final exams. I look forward to the coming break between semester to get some R & R. My friend, Fr. Frank Doyle (from Maggie Valley, N.C.) and I are going to Hawaii for ten days using frequent flyer miles to do so. I will be spending New Year’s Eve with him and his parish giving an evening of reflection and ending with a Mass at midnight to welcome in the New Year. I will be thinking of the current volunteers as you have your mid-year experience together. Stay well; have a great break yourselves. I continue to thank God for being able to be part of the Volunteer Family. May Christ’s peace, joy and love be with you and your loved ones during this coming Christmas season and in the New Year. Love, Fr. Jim

Well I figured the technical wiz kid Mostardi would figure it out, but Wenzel, you never stop amazing me. And also isn’t it nice for him to let us all know he is going to Hawaii for a little vacation. I’m going to the moon! I have to use up some of those annoying frequent flier miles too. Everyone have a nice holidays. And as of next Tuesday please address all messages to Master Thomas J. O’Grady, as I will be (fingers crossed) finishing my masters program at Villanova. Of course I am kidding but if you would like to, I surely wouldn’t stop you.
Peace everyone!
