“Now this is the law of Christ, that we carry one another’s burdens mutually.” ~St. Augustine

We currently have one international site: Chulucanas, Peru*. Preference for international placement is given to those applicants that have volunteered domestically for a year, though it is not a requirement.

There are many challenges that face international volunteers that differ from what domestic volunteers encounter during their Augustinian Volunteers experience. While serving abroad can afford a volunteer the opportunity to be immersed in a new culture, being far from home can also be isolating at times and present unique challenges. We ask people who are contemplating applying for international placement to spend time discerning if it is the best option for you. We are more than happy to assist you with that process through our interview as well as answering any other questions you may have.

*Please note that all applicants hoping to serve in Peru must be conversational in Spanish. A Spanish interview will be conducted as part of the application process.
